NFL FLAG Bowl is a 5v5 boys, girls and coed tournament hosted by NFL FLAG, NFF, and RCX around Super Bowl LV in Tampa, FL.

COUNTDOWN TO TAMPA

NFL FLAG BOWL

This year, the NFF Road to Tampa will lead to the NFL FLAG Bowl hosted by Reigning Champs Experiences around Super Bowl LV on January 29-31. 

 

The NFL FLAG Bowl is open to ALL flag football teams, including non-NFL FLAG Participants.

 

All teams will get access to Super Bowl activities, flag football swag, and more! 

Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay

All games at the NFL FLAG Bowl will be played at the $17 million dollar Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay. 

The facility is 10 minutes from Downtown Tampa and 20 minutes from Tampa International Airport.

Stay to Play

This event is a mandatory STAY TO PLAY event to due to COVID regulations. Any team found not complying with these rules will be accessed a $600 fine which must be paid prior to playing.

No exceptions will be made.

 

Every player on your team must stay at one of our provided hotel links.

5v5 GIRLS DIVISIONS

Featuring the very best in girls flag football. Our tournament features 5v5 girls-only divisions. 

 

This is a 5v5 format of play based on a modified NFL FLAG rule book. Teams will compete in a three-game round-robin on Saturday, 1/30. 

 

5v5 DIVISIONS INCLUDE: 12U, 14U, & 17U

 

  • Based on performance results, all teams will advance into a single-elimination playoff on Sunday, 1/31 to crown a National Champion.​

  • Rules are based off a modified version of NFL FLAG rulebook.​

DIVISIONS

This is a 5v5 format of play based on a modified NFL FLAG rulebook.

COVID-19: Quick Compliance Brief

RCX is working closely with the NFL and health officials in order to provide comprehensive COVID-19 Guidelines for the NFL FLAG Bowl. These guidelines will be based on CDC recommendations and federal/local guidelines.

The guidelines presented might be more comprehensive and stricter than what is accepted locally in Tampa. THE TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES WILL BE ENFORCED, PER THE NFL, REGARDLESS OF LOCAL GUIDELINES DURING THE TIME OF THE EVENT AND ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE

SPECTATOR LIMITS:  

Only two spectators per player will be allowed at the complex at a time. 

CHECK-IN: 

All teams will be required to check in on FRIDAY. We will not be accepting teams checking in on Saturday due to COVID protocols. A division check-in list will be provided shortly. 

Tournament Rule Changes

Age Divisions:

  • 6u Coed, 7u Coed, 8u Coed, 9u Coed, 10u Coed, 11u Coed, 12u Coed, 13u Coed, 15u Coed, 16u Coed, 14u Boys, 17u Boys, 10u Girls, 12u Girls, 14u Girls, 17u Girls
     

Field Size:

  • Exception:

  • 25 x 64 yards-End zones will be reduced to 7-yards
     

8U Division:

  • Follow NFL FLAG Rulebook

  • Exception:

  • Defense can’t rush the passer. Defenders must wait until a legal handoff is executed to cross the line of scrimmage
     

6U and 7U Divisions:

  • Follow NFL FLAG Rulebook

  • Exceptions:

  • Defense can’t rush the passer. Defenders must wait until a legal handoff is executed to cross the line of scrimmage

  • No ‘No Run’ zones-Teams may run the ball anywhere on the playing field legally

  • 1 Offensive coach is allowed on the field. Coach must be to the side and deeper than the Head official prior to the snap

    • Defensive coaches must stay on the sidelines
